Each year, SWAT provides an opportunity for woodturners around the area to get together in one place to fellowship with other turners, expand their education through demonstrations, and purchase top-rate tools/products from the many vendors.  

Everyone who has been to SWAT tells folks that it was truly worth the time, drive, and expense to attend.

In August of each year, SWAT holds a symposium bringing in some of the most renowned turners to demonstrate their craft.  Multiple opportunities are available throughout the convention center to a variety of classes on everything from segmented turning to finials, hollowing vases to pens, and platters to ornaments.
