I wanted to try the new Cactus Juice formula even though I have some of the old, more than 2 yrs and still cures.  Very happy happy with the new and have either used it all or it's waiting in bottles with dye already added.  I've been  experimenting  with double dying and will be ordering more shortly.

I found the Cactus Juice to be extremely easy to use and it turned some questionable, very spalted birdseye maple into a very solid stock to work with.  I liked it so well that I just ordered my 2nd gallon and a couple different color dyes to experiment with.

Thank you for your prompt service. I've already stabilized some pinecones for knife handles and the cactus juice is so much better than the wood hardener that I was using.

I got into stabilizing wood because, while ordinary wood grain is beautiful, the markings and colors you see in spalted wood, along with the ease of adding colors when you stabilize it, and the STABILITY of the wood, and the increased number of species I can work with (because highly punky wood, after stabilizing, has much the same properties, regardless of species) make it preferable for my kind of cue building. 

When learning the craft, I found many on Youtube willing to tell me how to do it and sell me their stuff. I tried several, TurnTex included. I don't want to denigrate anyone else, but I will say that my TurnTex experience has been exceptional while others have not. I've used four stabilizers, Cactus Juice, BVV, Polycrl, and Turner's Choice. Each has a different sweet spot, but none give me a final product as rock solid as Cactus Juice, and the only place I'm willing to buy it anymore is TurnTex.

i don't use very many mediums but when i tried alulite i just can't quit... that's it, now i've started to understand the resin and what it does when you throw it in the cast and what it does when you gently pour a little bit at a time with different colors and it's all coming to a poetry in motion senario...

I literally stumbled across Turn Tex a couple of weeks ago. And after placing my order realized they were in San Marcos which i pass by once a week. I called and asked if i could will call the next day and the gentleman assured me that would be fine and he would refund the shipping.

I have been using Cactus Juice for several years and have always been very pleased with the results. Currently I’m stabilizing spalted tamarind which is very porous. I just received your last shipment with the new formula and was pleased with the reduced foaming.   The wood is soaking new but I’m sure the result will be every bit as satisfying as always. Good company and excellent product.

I've lost count of how many orders I've made over the years, but every one has been seamless. Years ago, the owner personally (and patiently) addressed my dumb questions. I usually order around 8 gallons 1-2 times a year (the bulk shipping is nice).

Not only is the Cactus Juice the best go to for stabilizing, Turn Tex, as a company, has always been polite, helpful and effective.

But don't get into stabilizing because I don't want any more competition! Lol.

Fantastic is really all you can say! I've been stabilizing for the past year or so with the Cactus Juice with great results. So far, I've been using a vacuum chamber from Amazon that works perfectly well, but I make a lot of mallets and the chamber I have simply doesn't fit the longer handle blanks. I ordered a 4"x16" vacuum chamber from here and it's perfect. Very well built and easy to use. It is also very reasonably priced. Don't hesitate to pick one up.

I've been buying Cactus Juice and Alumilite from Turntex for around three years and the shipping has always been prompt. Curtis, Gage and company have always treated me right. It's the only place I'll get my stabilizing and casting products

I put some wood into dry and placed my order for resin and it came in at the right time to put in the chamber to stabilize. This is great service when you have an idea when your order will be in your hands. Thank for your products and great service. 

This stabilizing fluid is easy to use (provided you have a vacuum chamber), and has good penetration and gardening, with easy relatively low temp curing.

This will harden softer woods nicely, but will not large voids well, or create a super solid "plasticky" block like you get from some professional facilities.  Basically you can stabilize and harden softer or punky)salted woods without changing the basic wood nature of the material.

All my experiences with your company have been great.  The service is super and product just keeps doing it's job.  I'd love to have availability of a larger volume discount.

Everything Turn Tex sells is very high quality.  No cheap junk here.  When I was having some problems with stabilizing wood, I called Curtis and he helped me trouble shoot and resolve my problems.  It was user error.  Nothing to do with his products.  I couldn't be more pleased with the results I'm getting.  I am a wood turner that makes threaded boxes.  After I stabilize soft spalted wood it makes for perfect crisp clean threads.

Ordered resin from Turntex.com. An hour later I was notified the order had shipped. I know for a fact that I would not have gotten that email unless my order had actually shipped. My order arrived the next day. Even at 350 miles that is still fast shipping.

I started using Cactus Juice a number of years ago after having trouble with an unnamed competitor.

In these years of use, I’ve never encountered any problems and have been able to count on their quick turn around time from order placement to delivery.

Further, I find the updated formulae to be better since there isn’t any real risk of to much foaming.

 

Order was processed and shipped on the same day I placed it. Product was at my door the next day. IMHO Cactus Juice is by far the best wood stabilizing product out there and TurnTex customer service is the best.

I was very pleased with the quality of the products and the prompt service I received from Turn Tex.

I will be coming back for Alumalite resin for sure, and maybe I will try some stabilizing products in the months ahead.

My most recent order was for a Alumilite Clear Slow 16lb kit - I ordered it and received it only a couple days later, 1000 miles away. The only way to get it that quickly was for Gaige to pack my shipment and get it to UPS almost the same day. Great Service!

Of course, my next order will be some Cactus Juice - I'm running a little low. :-)

Thanks Curtis, somehow you can get UPS to deliver from Texas to Florida in 3 days for a very reasonable price.  I just sent a package and it took 5 days and cost more than twice the Turn Tex price.  Thanks for taking care of your customers!
