I've been testing the cactus juice for a few weeks now. All works as described except one thing, time it takes to get all the air out of the wood I'm using. Just now I've been waiting for 12 hours for the batch in the vacuum chamber and it is still coming air out of the wood. Not a fault of the juice but be aware of it you who is as new to this as I am. Will be ordering more juice and colors in the future.

Got my second delivery of Cactus Juice from TurnTex. Good and quick delivery just in time for the start of the weekly meetings for knife-making after the summer break.

Now that I have gone through my first gallon of Cactus Juice I feel I can speak with some authority......Holy Crap this stuff is GREAT!!! I now have so much unstabilized wood I just may need a moving van for my next order from Curtis.  I was anxious for my first order to arrive and when it did, UPS had been party to somehow damaging the shipment to the point that the entire order was unusable. The delivery guy stopped by the shop on the evening of the delivery day after I called UPS to see why THEY had cancelled and sent back my order from earlier that morning - - Just my luck.

But, it all worked out in the end. Curtis saw fit to immediately get another shipment out to me which arrived in good order in a very timely manner. Since I was new to this type of "woodworking", Curtis was extremely helpful in answering any and all questions I had listed prior to the many phone calls I made to him. Which is good to someone just starting in this technique.

There is a learning curve but it can be dealt with if you read the website and ask questions and then do as you are told......let Turn Tex's experience get you up and running quicker - and buy the best equipment you can afford and then get your "stuff" in a tight little ball before you start soaking the first piece of wood.  It will pay off in the long run.

the product i ordered came promptly and was in good order. i stabilized some cherry burl and it turned very well made some nicely grained pens

Ultra fast shipping. Less that a week to reach Norway.

New to stabilization, so only ordered 1/2 gal of Cactus Juice. It arrived in just a few days, and was well packed and came undamaged. I heated some pen blanks for only a couple of hours, and after cooling, proceeded to infuse the blanks with the juice. I cycled the 3rd party vacuum pump due to it getting very hot, but didn't think I got a lot of juice in the blanks after ~ 12 hrs soak. I noticed that the cured blanks were slightly florescent, so after finishing 2 pens, I put them under a black light and was pleased to see that all the wood lit up, telling me that they were fully infused with the juice.

I got email from Curtis towards the end of the process just to see how things were going, and he made some great suggestions. I look forward to my next attempt, but the blanks will spend much more time heating to drive off the moisture, and under vacuum to completely infuse the denser woods.

I purchased the cactus juice and the infusion chamber for vacuum infusion of mallet heads that I use for woodworking. The vacuum chamber is well made and looks like it will stand up to many years of use. Using the cactus juice was straightforward and the instructions were very clear. This made the learning curve very easy. As a first time user, I was pleased that my parts came out very well. I recommend this product to other woodworkers & woodturner that are looking for a simple and straightforward way to start vacuum infusing.

I've purchased a number of items from this vendor.  All have been handled quickly and correctly. I'm on my 3rd gallon of Cactus juice, the product works as described.  there is plenty of info in the help section on how to use the product. I had questions related to my first purchase, called them and received my answer quickly.  also purchased a vacuum chamber and am quite pleased with its performance.  The thing i like best is the product is shipped very quickly.  I always seem to run out of something, and am 'on hold' till i get it.  Thanks for the quick service.

Extremely good customer service.  I ordered cactus juice on July 8 and received it on July 12.  

I have been stabilizing Maple burls and curly maple with great results . I turn Wine stopper blanks 1- 1/2 diameter by 2 inches long .The red curly maple is soft and not good to turn . When stabilized it becomes a different wood . It also enhances the figure greatly . Elm burl works well too . Also have been doing black palm . It has a lite brown punky material mixed in with extremely hard jet black . It would always chip out when trying to turn fine detail . It is a joy to turn now .

I was looking for a good resin to build my Vaping boxes but couldn't find a good one, so I ordered Alumilite Clear and Cactus Juice.

Just arrived today and I casted the first box and it was amazing.

Before I placed my order I called Curtis with a couple of questions, I left a message thinking I would hear back in a day or two.  Within the hour he returned my call and answered my questions.  I placed my order that night and it arrived two days later ( Texas to New York).  To compare, I am still waiting on an Amazon order I placed 10 days ago.  The Cactus Juice product is everything it is advertised to be.  I turn over ninety different types of domestic and exotic woods from around the world and Cactus Juice has allowed me to stabilize wood that I never thought I would turn.

These guys are without a doubt the only people making a product that I can effectively and efficiently stabilize my burl and other woods with. Being new to the craft I initially tried spending a good deal of time looking for an alternative to their Cactus Juice, trying to save money being not quite ready to jump fully into the art of wood stabilization. All I did was waste money, wood, and most importantly, time. Do yourself the favor of not making the same mistake I did if you're new at this or considering giving it a try.

After watching some videos and doing some searching I decided to take the plunge. I wanted my vacuum pump to work for both a vacuum chuck and a vacuum chamber. I have put together my own systems and am a very happy camper. Cactus Juice is really a cool product and it has made some really weak but interesting pieces of wood into some of my best pens and bottle stoppers ever. 

The service has been impeccable and the product is everything it claims to be. I haven't had to call Mr. Seebeck about anything yet but if I did it would most likely be to say thank you.

Thank you for giving me the freedom to make any color blank I want at any time. I might not have buy another acrylic blank again. My first pour with Alumilite white was a disaster ( MY FAULT!!! tried to mix base in 2 separate containers ), but my second was awesome. Again thank you for awesome product.

Being a novice at stabilizing wood, I felt I had a decent understanding of the overall process.  That is, up until a coworker filled my head with doubt about a certain process.  After calling the owner and emailing, I received a response in a very short time confirming that I was correct and not to listen to that other advice.

The metal rings are extremely nice.  I am going to need a better vacuum pump than a brake bleeder pump and a shut off valve to lock in the vacuum.  All in due time.  I have not cut the stabilized blank yet, but look forward to that.  I stabilized some burl to practice with first and that turned out to be a very good idea.  Thanks for your products.

Everything arrived in a very timely fashion, the order was correct, and very rarely these days do I ever do business with people who actually care about the customer, and the service they provide. I will be happy to do business with them again =)

I have been turning pens for about 10 years off and on.  Several years ago I cut down several Alaska Birch trees on my property. I have used a lot of it in my wood working and found it very easy to work, but it is pure white.  I wanted to add some color to it.  I left several logs outside to age and maybe get a little spalted, it worked.  Now I have rich spalted birch if I catch it before it rots.  I found I have a lot of spalted material that is too soft to turn.  I watched several YouTube videos on Cactus Juice so I decided to check it out.  I have found that shipping to Alaska is a mystery to many retailers.  They don't realize that Alaska is part of the USA and USPS ships here at normal flat rate charges, nothing extra just label it and ship it.  TurnTex knew this and shipped my order the day I ordered it and I got it 3 days later.  No fuss no muss.

The product it easy to use once you get the necessary equipment together.  Now I have several pen blanks that have beautiful spalting, that are hard as a rock, very easy to turn and polish great.  Then next step is to mix colored dye with the Cactus Juice to add more dynamic colors and figuring. 

I would highly recommend Cactus Juice because it is easy to use, it is non toxic, and products great results.  Turn Tex is a wonderful supplier with products on hand and fast and fair shipping.

The stabilizer I ordered was shipped on the same day my order was placed! Curtis is very friendly, knowledgeable, & makes himself available to answer any questions you may have. I ordered the liquid stabilizer for my husband who is a hobby knife maker. 

I bought my first chamber from Curtis, I want to say 5 years ago and it has work and still is working perfectly. You do need to follow his direction to get the  results that you expect ,and if you do have any problems call Curtis , he will speak to you ,not some one in a third world country. I have a  new one on order only because it is time for an up grade.
