Customer service is always great. Fair prices and very fair freight charges with fast processing. Curtis is always reachable through social media and is willing to answer any question, despite being asked the same thing over and over.

I've been a custom knife maker for 5 years now and wanted to try my hand at stabilizing. I found the TurnTex stabilizing chamber very well made, easy to set up and easy to use. Curtis answered several questions I had immediately on the Facebook wood stabilizing group. The quality of the product is outstanding. Everything you need besides your choice of vacuum pump and your choice of oven is included and assembled when you get it. The cactus juice resin is easy to mix and easy to clean up. Just don't forget to read the pamphlet that is included and follow the instructions exactly and you are golden. Thanks to Curtis and TurnTex for making it easy and being willing to answer any questions that customers might have. If you want to start stabilizing, definitely no reason to feel intimidated, it's not that complicated. Go for it!

I have only had the chance to use the premixed Catus Juice so far but it worked great. I had some hemp wood blanks I was trying to turn (think pressed straw) and it was next to impossible without stabilizing it. Once I stabilized with the Catus Juice it was easy to turn. It gives the right amount of hardness without being clumpy on the outside. Customer service is something you won't find with most companies. I haven't had to use them yet but any company that contacts you before you contact them to let you know they are available to help is something you rarely find these days. I am glad I found TurnTex and their great product and so will you. It's obvious that Curtis cares about his customers and products he sales.

TurnTex has been a great source of information in my research to learn more about stabilizing and casting. I finally broke down and ordered the “juice proof” vacuum chamber and am very happy that I did instead of converting my pressure pot. It might have cost a little more, but the quality of the product is worth it. I just stabilized my first round of Burl scraps and the set-up was very nice. The ring to mount the chamber to my workbench is great, I don’t have to work about anything falling over while I’m working around it, or more likely, me knocking it over. The chamber seals very well, and came up to vacuum quickly and being able to see inside was nice. Keeps me from accidentally getting resin in my vacuum pump. Clean up was much easier than I would have thought. A little soap and water cleaned it right up. And the instructions that came with the chamber as well as all the help available on the TurnTex website made the whole process way less scary. Thank you guys for a quality product and excellent service. I was a little nervous about attempting stabilizing and casting, but you made it simpler than I had thought it to be. I have heard about a lot of “failed” projects because of things not being done correctly, and you have shown me how to overcome simple errors in the process. Thanks again, TurnTex, you’ve been a great help.

I have stabilized with Cactus Juice several times now and it’s the product I will stick with every time.  The dyes work very well too.  Just follow the directions on the site and you cannot go wrong.

I had a couple of (very) old Merchandise Certificates that were not the current order processing system that TurnTex uses.  An email to Curtis and he immediately added them so I could use.  He has made a loyal customer out of me.  His customer service is second to none.

 

 

Bought cactus juice to start stabilizing at home and love this product. I did a ton of research on the topic and was prepared to stabilize material before ordering. My results have been excellent with zero issues. This will always be my go to resin for stabilizing materials.

I have been using the Cactus Juice pretty much since day one, in fact, I believe, Curtis first International order for the CJ was to me here in Australia.

This product has allowed me to salvage many boxes of very soft/spalted woods I just couldn't dump/burn since then stabilising many types of wood has become an almost daily exercise, from clear to dyed I have used dozens and dozens of gallons.

Curtis preparation for packing of the CJ particularly to long-distance destinations has improved considerably and now all those extra steps are paying off with no more leaking or damaged parcels.

A great product from a great friend.

Turntex is a great business that provides excellent product. I ordered parts for a trailer, took well over a week, ordered from Turntex, had my dye and Cactus Juice in two days. Stabilized some beautiful spalted Hackberry and some cottonwood. Can't wait to turn them.

I'll be trying out this process for the first time and for all the good things I've heard about your

products I decided to give yours a try. I'm using an Arken chamber and pump, and stabilizing some

spalted maple to start with. This coming weekend should be the day! Wish me luck. Happy

Ordered vacuum chamber, gallon of Cactus Juice and dyes from Turn-Tex.  Also got toaster oven on Craigslist.  Ordered a vacuum pump from Amazon.  I cut up some wood from my pile of tree trimmings into 1 1/2 square by 5 inch blocks, some was fairly spalted.  Mixed Cactus Juice with red and blue dyes and got some interesting blanks.  Turned on of the spalted blanks into a bottle stopper and got beautiful results.

Am starting this a little late in life as I am in my eighties but believe I will be enjoying this hobby.

After reading about stabilizing in several woodworking forums, I submitted my small order. I was pleased with the quick turnaround, receiving my order in a shorter time than I expected. 
I read through the do’s and dont‘s on the TurnTex website, and successfully stabilized my first batch of knife handle blanks. Shortly afterwards I ordered some dye, and again, quick turnaround.
