THESE DYES WILL NOT WORK FOR STABILIZING WITH CACTUS JUICE AND ARE ONLY FOR CASTING!
Alumilite Dyes are the preferred dye to use in any of the Alumilite Casting Resins. These dyes are very concentrated and provide nice, vivid colors. When used with Alumilite Clear, they create a deep, translucent color and with Alumilite White, they create an opaque color.
Alumilite Clear- Use 1-2 drop per mixed ounce. Measure and mix equal parts of A and B by weight in a clear cup until the they become completely clear with no streaks or swirls, then add your dye and mix. DO NOT add the dye to the A side as shown on the directions. The biggest cause of failure with Alumilite is not getting part A and B mixed properly. If you add the dye to the A side, you will not be able to see when the two components are properly mixed!
Add some Alumilite Metallic Powder or mica powder such as Pearl Ex to give movement and depth!
Alumilite White- Use up to 5% by weight Alumilite White cures white so how it looks in the cup is NOT how it will look when cured! It may take some trial and error to figure out how much to add to get the color you want.
NOTE: 1 oz. bottle dispensing tip must be cut to dispense dye. Tip may also be removed completely.
