Cactus Juice works as advertised.  With the recent increase in price, I considered using an alternate, but I stuck with what I am familiar with and know works.  Should there be more pricing increases, I may give other products a try.

I am a hobbiest woodturner and a newbie to stabilizing wood. Curtis’s website with all the on-target technical support articles has proved to be very valuable. He answered several questions before I even ordered from him. Excellent pre-sales support.

The chamber itself is very well made. It is obvious he cares about delivering a quality product. The chamber and pump saver were well packed and delivered on time. It achieved full vacuum immediately with no leaks or other issues. I followed his easy to understand instructions to stabilize my first 16 blanks in four batches. All turned out extremely well. Stabalized spalted maple is a treat to turn. It cuts very nicely because all the wood fibers are better supported.

 I had a small issue with the vacuum gauge which Curtis addressed the day I reported it. Excellent post-sales support.

All in all a very positive experience.

I ordered the 6x16'' complete chamber and a couple gallons of Cactus Juice, I have read everything on TurnTex.com and watched Youtube videos from NV Woodwerks. I have finally been able to do several runs of stabilizing and dying. Like Curtis O. Seebeck explains, soaking IS one of the most important keys to getting good results, I love this system and will be buying a second one soon. This is the best on the market in my opinion. Thanks for a great product.

I made a vacuum stabilizing chamber from a large Mason jar and used vacuum pump.  Worked well for a few years.  Decided to upgrade with new pump and chamber fro Turn Tex.  This is a well built device and worth the wait.  Thank you for the good products and service.

I was worried they might consider it Hazmat and charge additional fees.  But there were no problems at all shipping internationally.  I will definitely be ordering more!

i use turntex for one reason......quality. Thanks again for the fast shipping. 

Since I have my pump saver I can finally use my stabilization chamber. I set it up and ran my first batch. When I finished I noticed that the vacuum gauge was full of resin. Is that normal? Or will I need to replace the gauge? In any case all the pieces are well made and the instruction manual walks you through th process. Thanks Larry Morgan

I placed an order from Curtis to get a new vacuum when mine went out.  Right after I placed the order, I had an order placed with me for something I didn’t have immediately available.  A few days went by and texted Curtis to find out how long before my pump would ship out.  I figured, if it’s not coming this week, I’ll pick up a spare pump from HF.  Curtis had my pump ship the next day.  Saved me a few bucks and lrobably a headache from a cheap pump.  

i just started turning and live the hybrid blanks. That is everything except the price. So I’ve started making my own with Cactus Joyce and Alumilite from Turntex.

Both products  are amazing and the service from Turntex is phenomenal. I knew I found the right supplier when the box arrived. Made of HEAVY cardboard and taped with reinforced tape AT EVERY SEAM. Inside was packed with wadded constructuon paper so that nothing could move around at all. Turntex takes pride in making sure you get what you pay for quickly and in good condition. In today’s online economy, that is rare. 

I have had some questions as well and Curtis has been quick and polite answering my NEWBY ramblings

So like I be said, I’ve found my supplier.

this is a very good product and works very well...just getting into stabilizing wood, and am very pleased.

i love cactus juice! Nothings quenchier, its the quenchiest, it’ll quench ya! LOL, but seriously this stuff is the best stabalizer! I wonder if there is a thickening agent for a more gap filling purpose while stabalizing things! Really appreciate this product!

Cactus Juice is a great product. It’s non-toxic and easy to use. Curtis is always willing to take your phone calls and help in any way he can.

Placed my first order for Cactus Juice and received it exactly when it was indicated is would arrive. Product was well packaged and arrived with no hiccups. i recently ordered some resin from Curtis and company they made the whole process easy. Got the package in 2 days.  I could tell the package had been dropped by the Postal Servic, once opened both caps on the resin were broken but no leaks. I sent a note to Gaige and in two days New caps. I am very pleased with everything they do. 

This is my first order that I have received from Curtis O. Seebeck.  I ordered the JB Eliminator Vacuum Pump which arrived with in a week after ordering it.  I do have another order in for the chamber to be built along with some other things.  I am very pleased with the fast service that Curtis and his staff provide, and I look forward to dealing with them in purchasing more Cactus Juice Stabilizing Resin and some Dyes.

I have been using Cactus Juice for a little over a year. I am not what would be called a large volume user as most of the wood I use is cut up to use for pens and pencils. I usually cut the material pretty close to the usable size to conserve the resin and to get better penetration I usually pull a vacuum on it for five or six hours then put into a pressure pot usually over night, then into the oven. I really haven't had any failures so far. I finish my pens with CA with good success. It takes a little while to get the process under control but the results are good.

I started purchasing Cactus Juice to stabilize spalted wood to make jigsaw puzzles. The most difficult part was to create a box (internal dimensions: 6" x 14" x 9") to hold a vacuum. Following the directions provided with the Cactus Juice is very easy and has lots of room for error. I was concerned that the stabilized blanks would be solid chunks of epoxy which would be difficult for me to cut using a scroll saw. This was not the case. So far I'm getting wood that appears to have the hardness of a soft Eastern Maple, but cuts smoothly and without grain orientation.

My orders from turntex always get here quickly and you just can't beat the customer service!

I must say I love your cactus juice stabilizing resin,I  I have had nothing but success with it, I’ve tried some of them wood hardeners from the Home Depot and it just is not the same.  I am definitely a return customer . Also I was wondering do you have any tips and tricks area on your website.

Was needing a new vacuum pump and Curtis at TurnTex Woodworks offered fully warrantied refurbished pumps at great price with a healthy savings. The pump arrived and looked new. Curtis even included a qt of vacuum pump oil. Thanks Curtis for making these pumps available.

The order was delivered promptly and packed to ensure there was no damage.  I've not had a chance to use the resin yet, but will report my experience when I have.

 

I ordered Alumilite slow from Turntex. It was shipped promptly and arrived on time. I'm loving this product as it gives you a little more time to work before hardening.

Thanks,  I've been happy with the results with cactus juice and will keep using.  A minor comment regarding my latest order.  After I submitted I sent two emails, one to "[email protected]" and another to "[email protected]"  asking if I could update the order to include dye.  Never got a response.  I got my order, just like I submitted, so no complaints, but you lost the opportunity to sell another item. Not a big deal, not going to make or break either of us, but you may want to monitor emails closer.

I am new to knife making so I can use all of the help that I can get. This is my second order and is prompted by the results of the first order. Just follow the directions and you wont be disappointed.

I’ve been stabilizing wood for some years now and although I don’t do as much as I did in the past, I still find Cactus Juice to be a better product than other stabilizing resins on the market.  The added plus is great coustomer service and better pricing.

Always fast to pack up the order, never had an issue. Curtis has always been quick about answering any questions, great company great products, can't say enough good things.

I have purchased about 10 gallons of Cactus Juice now and I have stabilized hundreds of pieces of punky, spalted, and soft woods and haven't found a better product out there.  Will continue to use Cactus Juice in the future.  The help pages on the website are great and if you stick to those suggestions the product will work every time.

This is the  second time I’ve ordered cactus juice and I’m not disappointed in my decision!  The product is so good, a local knife maker has asked me to stabilize more wood for him and I’m even getting a ”free” knife out of the deal. It is so simple to use and makes even the punkiest wood workable and strong. 

I've been a customer for a couple years now. Customer service is first rate and orders ship very quickly. Curtis always takes the time to answer any questions and gives expert advice whether through e-mail or his Facebook customer page.  I mention this stuff first because it is often more important the product itself. With that said, you will not find a better stabilizing product than Cactus Juice and the wide selections of dyes.
