Waiting for a package and getting it opened is best part of the week

Being a "newbie" to stabilizing wood, I had quite a few questions regarding wood types, the process, pulling out the moisture, what pump will work best, etc. Every single question I had was answered on the website! This is the only site I have EVER been to that has all the information you would ever need. I received my order and everything was packed tightly in the box so kudos to Gaige Musick, in the shipping department. I read all the information on the site, then I read it again to be sure of the steps. Cooked the wood (spalted tamarind), put it a plastic bag, stabilized it, cured it in a toaster oven. All the small pieces I tested came out perfect! Great vacuum chamber, great instructions, great product. Nuff said!

Am now using my 2nd gallon of 'Cactus Juice' & am my 2nd tour of duty with one of turntex.com's vacuum chambers.

Am also TOTALLY pleased with the results I've had & with the customer service the owner of the company provided me when one of the components of the vacuum chamber didn't function properly when that product arrived.

having just recently retired, I have begun really getting into knife making which actually began as a hobbie.

i started out play around with things and before I knew it one thing led to another and I was being asked if they were for sale.

i was given some spalted maple by a friend and colleague and it needed to be stabilized. I found your site after a quick internet search.

i purchased some cactus juice and brown dye to give just a little color.

followed the directions and everything came out perfect!

after placing my order I receiceved my things very fast. just recently I placed another order for some different dyes for the cactus juice and it also arrived promptly!

When I need more of Curtis’s products I will definitely be ordering from him

This is THE product for stabilizing! It’s great for that wood that looks so cool but is just too soft to work. Turntex and their team want you to be successful with stabilizing so much that the web page has detailed directions for use and many great resources for stabilizing, and using vacuum chambers. Great product and and great company!

I purchased a vacuum chamber, cactus juice, and oven thermometer. Everything came as advertised and I was very pleased with each item. It is evident the vacuum chamber is made of good materials and that time was taken in building it. I haven’t gotten the chance to use the cactus juice yet but I have used the vacuum chamber to degas some silicone using Alumilite mold making product. This being my first venture into using a vacuum chamber I am quite pleased with the ease of use. I can’t wait to start stabilizing with it.

I just received a full kit of all the “cactus juice“ stabilizing dyes and they came in quickly, well packed and they seem to be very vivid so far. I’ve already started dying a few pieces and the colors are looking very nice! Oh and a nice surprise come to find out that the extreme pink is  fluorescent and glows  pretty  bright in black! TurnTex seems to be a very good company to order from and I’m sure I’ll be a customer for a long time. Thanks guys!

I am a beginner to stabilizing wood and until I found out that the large maple I had in my yard that I had spent several years dimensionalizing and drying was WHITE maple, I did not even think about how those colors got into the wood. But white maple is very fibrous and is not dense like birdseye or sugar maple. It dries to about the same wieht to volume as balsa. Needless to say the stacks of maple were destined for the wood stove until I watched a number of videos on stabilizing. (Some on YouTube, some at TurnTex.) I am pleased with Cactus Juice and still ahve lots to learn, but the products and the support ate great. Dan'l

Curtis and the team at TurnTex are great both for quick service and the products. I have a vacuum chamber and have purchased Cactus Juice and dyes. The Cactus Juice came promptly in the mail and with no damage. Cactus Juice has allowed me to save a lot of wood that otherwise would have ended as mulch. I love that the dyes have a separate “squirt” cap to make adding to the Juice easier. I am working with the dyes (blue and teal) for the first time and found them easy to use (if a little messy due to my own carelessness). Overall super satisfied. Thanks again!

I placed my first order with Turn Tex and received my order in just a few days. I used the Cactus Juice to stabilize some burls for turning blanks. I will definately order from Turn Tex again!

To be honest, I was a little skeptical that at home stabilization could be as good as professional stabilization, but with Catu Juice, it pretty much has been for the softer woods I've used it on.  If you can pull a decent vacuum, and either have a pressure chamber or the patience to let a piece soak for  good amount of time, you can get resin impregnation every bit as deep as a pro job.  I've been using it on punks spalted woods and redwood burl, and couldn't be happier.

This was my third or fourth order of Cactus Juice. Delivery is always fast. The product works perfectly. I've had exceptional success doing burls and hardwoods, even some Heart Pine blanks.

Hi Chris, just pick up the chamber and fresh gallon of juice at the post office, made my first test this morning, just wow! I have been using Cactus juice for just about 4 years and was using a chamber that I had built on my own, it was an okay chamber but could not reach the ultimate vacuum. A message to all of you who are not decided, I should have bought the Turntex chamber 4 years ago, worth every $ spent, reached -28 in no time. Great product, recommend it. Serge

I ordered a chamber kit along with some Cactus Juice and a few other items. I need to say that the scheduled delay/lead time (posted visibly on the website) was 4-6 weeks. I understand that I was ordering at the same time many others were placing orders, so I waited. My order took longer than expected, and I was a bit nervous that something had happened to my order. I was not very happy that it took longer than expected, but I did indeed receive my order.

What can I say? Expect delays in processing, but don't worry. Curtis and his company are the real deal. When my order finally arrived, I opened the box and saw nothing short of quality. A friend of mine said the chamber looked "laboratory grade". And indeed, it is all worth the wait. It all functions like it should, and is very well made. No issues as I have already made my first batch of stabilized wood without problems. (While wearing my TurnTex "Redemption" shirt and drinking water from the TurnTex "Redemption" cup. Thanks Curtis)

The company redeemed itself by supplying a product that is far superior to anything else on the market. I have already ordered (and received) more items. So ask yourself this; How long should you wait for a superior quality product? My answer would be; Until it is delivered if it is from TurnTex!

I had an issue with a batch of juice stabilizing inside my chamber.  YIKES!  I have used at least 4 gallons of Cactus Juice over the past couple of years and had never experienced this.  I called Curtis, who knew exactly what had occurred.  He took the time to help explain the issue (curing inside chamber due to outdoor temperatures being elevated) and offered solutions for my specific situation.  He took the time to answer a couple of other questions I had in regards to moisture content of wood and drying process, etc.  I look forward to making a couple of adjustments and running another batch this weekend!

I ordered when Curtis had a warning on his website on his website that he was away.  He stated that even though he was away, The shipments were going to processed as normal.  This was my first time ordering and I'm still working on my setup so it's not that big of a deal for me.  

I ordered and received notice from UPS that the shipment was on the way that day.  Awesome

I also ordered the complete setup for the vacuum pump.  I haven't been able to test it yet because the Amazon decided to destroy my vacuum pump in the delivery.  Once I get my vacuum pump, I'll be able to check it out.  I do know that I looked on Amazon for the little flare to 1/4" mip adapter and I couldn't find one (while Curtis was out of stock)  That setup is a great value.

I ended up buying a half gal and a pint of cactus juice total.  The pint I added purple dye to and ended up separating another pints worth out of the half gal and added some green.  I have stabilized some natural, some purple, and am currently baking some green.  The green batch has a natural/green mix I am looking forward to.  So far everything has turned well, and I need to buy more to set up more colors.  I will be a return customer from here on out.  Thanks again!!!

I received a shipping confirmation email 14 minutes after placing an order. Fast is an understatement. Product (Cactus Juice) works as well as all of the other reviews says it does. I am still fighting with my pressure pot to try the Alumilite. But, that is not a reflection of the service I received from Curtis. When it is time to replenish stock, I will buy here again.
